Highlight of the engagement opportunity:

§ Role: Full time role

§ Number of years of experience expected: 2 to 3 years

§ Areas of experience preferred: Fraud risk management & assessment, fraud analytics in BFSI Industry or Consulting in a client facing role for BFSI clients

§ Educational qualification expected: UAECA, ACCA (UK), Qualified CA (India)

§ Additional qualifications/ certifications required: None

§ Preferable additional certifications: CFA, FRM, MBA

§ Preferred geography of previous work experience: UAE, other countries in Middle East

§ Language requirements: Ability to write and speak fluently in English.

Key responsibility areas:

Fraud risk management & fraud analytics engagements with BFSI companies in UAE, with a focus on:

  • Transaction Monitoring: Monitor real-time and non-real-time transactions and customer accounts for suspicious patterns or anomalies using fraud prevention/monitoring systems.
  • Alert Management: Review and resolve triggered alerts generated by fraud detection tools within agreed service levels (SLAs). Contact cardholders, merchants, or internal teams to verify transactions and take necessary actions.
  • Investigation and Reporting: Conduct in-depth investigations into potential and confirmed fraud cases, gathering facts, analyzing evidence, and coordinating with relevant departments (e.g., Legal, IT, Compliance) and external bodies (e.g., law enforcement, CBUAE). Prepare and submit comprehensive investigation reports to management and regulatory bodies.
  • Fraud Strategy and Prevention: Monitor current fraud trends, identify vulnerabilities in existing controls, and recommend enhancements. This may include proposing new fraud rules or fine-tuning existing ones in the fraud management systems
  • Data Analysis and Modeling: Utilize data analysis, statistical modeling, and data analytics tools (e.g., SAS EG, Power BI, SQL) to uncover fraudulent activities and predict future risks.
  • Regulatory requirements: Address regulatory requirements (e.g., AML, KYC) to proactively address emerging threats.

Other important information:

§ Work permit requirements: Either UAE Citizen or having valid work permit to work in UAE.

§ Period of engagement: Full time role

§ Probation period: 6 months

§ Compensation: Compensation varies depending on the skill, fitment and role played by the person. Compensation discussions will take place post the selection process.

§ Performance incentives: Typically, all roles at Acies have a performance incentive. Specific aspects will be discussed during the compensation discussion.

Selection process:

We seek to be transparent during the selection process. While the actual process may vary from the process indicated below, the key steps involved are as follows:

§ Interview:

§ There are expected to be at least two rounds of interviews with the Acies team.

§ Following the above, there are expected to be at least two rounds of interviews with the respective client team.

The number of interview rounds may vary depending on the criticality and seniority of the role.

§ Final discussion on career and compensation: Post final selection, a separate discussion will be set up to discuss compensation and career growth. You are encouraged to seek any clarifications.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: AED72,000.00 - AED96,000.00 per year
