Senior Full Stack Engineer

FiveRivers Technologies is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer who will play a critical role in evolving and modernizing our platform. The engineer will work across the stack from backend APIs to dynamic UIs to deliver high-impact features that drive customer value. They will help modernize legacy components, strengthen our architecture, and mentor others while continuously improving how we build software.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance features across both frontend and backend systems.
  
• Use AI tooling to increase your productivity and that of your team.
  
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and team planning sessions.
  
• Modernize legacy systems and participate in migration efforts to newer frameworks.
  
• Collaborate closely with product and design to ship user-centric features.
  
• Improve development standards, documentation, and processes as we scale.
  
• Triage and resolve issues across a complex, real-world production environment.
  

• Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, TypeScript).
  
• Experience with legacy-to-modern front-end migrations (e.g., AngularJS to React).
  
• Solid grasp of back-end development using Java, relational databases, and API design.
  
• Familiarity with SQL performance tuning and debugging in real-world environments.
  
• Experience working with build systems, bundlers, or task runners (Webpack, Gulp, Rspack, etc.).
  
• Comfort navigating and refactoring existing codebases in large, production applications.
  
• Bonus points for familiarity with serverless architectures, AWS tooling, or data-heavy applications.
