This role combines backend and data engineering expertise with modern frontend development. You will partner closely with the Data Architect to operationalize enterprise data architecture, including the development of data lake infrastructure, Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, and scalable backend services. In addition to core data platform responsibilities, this role will also design and build internal web applications that empower business teams to leverage governed enterprise data to work more efficiently, make better decisions, and enhance their day-to-day effectiveness.

This is a hands-on hybrid role with approximately 60% focus on data and backend systems and 40% on frontend application development.

About You - You’re a versatile engineer who enjoys building solutions from end to end. You’re comfortable working across backend systems, data platforms, and modern frontend applications. You understand how clean, well-structured data supports scalable and reliable software. Most importantly, you build secure, maintainable systems and can move easily between SQL, Python, APIs, JavaScript, and React-based interfaces to make complex data useful for business teams. If this sounds like you - we’d love to hear from you!

What You'll Do:

Data Platform & Backend Engineering ( 60%)

  • Build and maintain enterprise data lake infrastructure in Azure.

  • Develop data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines.
  • Implement and operationalize MDM frameworks.
  • Design and develop backend services and APIs.
  • Develop and optimize Snowflake data models.
  • Write high-performance SQL queries and procedures.
  • Contribute to AI-ready data structures and scalable service architecture.
  • Collaborate with the Data Architect to refine platform architecture and data models as the platform evolves

Frontend Application Development ( 40%)

  • Develop modern, responsive, scalable web applications using React (or similar).
  • Build dashboards and workflow applications leveraging enterprise data.
  • Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and data services.
  • Design intuitive user interfaces for complex data-driven processes.
  • Maintain clean code architecture across the full stack.

Cloud & DevOps

  • Deploy and manage applications in Azure cloud environments.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Monitor production systems and resolve performance or reliability issues.
  • Document technical decisions and system patterns.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience as a full-stack or backend-heavy engineer.
  • Proven experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
  • Experience building or contributing to data lake or warehouse architectures.
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
  • Experience implementing or supporting Master Data Management (MDM).
  • Experience designing backend services and RESTful APIs.
  • Strong experience building modern frontend applications using React (or similar).
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems (CRM, finance, HR, etc.)
  • Experience deploying applications in Azure.
  • Strong system design and performance optimization skills.

Base salary range: $130-160k plus bonus potential if applicable for role.
