Senior Full Stack Engineer (NestJS / Next.js / TypeScript) – Product Lead

Job Overview
We’re building a serious product and are looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer who can own the technical direction, make sound product and architectural decisions, and lead development using NestJS, Next.js, and TypeScript.

This is not a “just follow tickets” role. You’ll play a key role in shaping the product, deciding how things should be built, and leading the engineering execution end-to-end. If you enjoy responsibility, autonomy, and building scalable systems the right way, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design and development of a modern full-stack application using NestJS (backend) and Next.js (frontend)
• Architect scalable, maintainable codebases aligned with best practices in software development and Agile methodologies
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs to enhance platform capabilities
• Oversee code reviews, version control (using GitHub), and continuous integration processes to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Optimize application performance across various environments, including Linux and cloud platforms such as Azure

Experience

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer with expertise in JavaScript frameworks such as React and Express.js
• Strong hands-on experience with NestJS (required)
• Strong hands-on experience with Next.js (required)
• Advanced TypeScript/JavaScript knowledge across frontend and backend
• Solid understanding of Node.js architecture and async patterns
• Experience designing REST APIs (GraphQL is a plus)
• Strong database experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB)
• Experience with Git, code reviews, and production deployments
• Ability to make independent technical decisions and defend them
• Strong problem-solving skills and product mindset
• Excellent communication and ownership mentality
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), API design principles, and security standards including OAuth2 or RBAC roles
