It is exida’s intention to expand its presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom’s Oil and Gas industry is expanding to meet the growing demand worldwide. In line with exida’s goal of growth in the region and to support in a more agile way, we are looking to establish a more permanent presence in the Kingdom. This position will be with Exida Middle East based in Ahecon (exida’s KSA agent) office in Dammam.
This arrangement will cover the necessary residence permits, health insurance and office space.

The primary duties will include the following:

Lead/facilitate PHA/HAZOP and LOPA workshops;

Develop Safety Requirements Specifications for customers, as required, generating the appropriate reports;
-
Execute SIS conceptual design activities and SIL verification projects using exida software tools;
-
Conduct functional safety and alarm rationalization training, seminars or webinars when required (requires minimum CFSP qualification);
-
Facilitate Alarm Rationalisation workshops and undertake Alarm Rationalisation projects when required;
-
Provide training on exida software tools;
-
Lead/facilitate Cyber Risk Assessments;
-
Participate/lead in Cybersecurity lifecycle services and/or projects;
-
Promote and/or demonstrate exSILentia tools for safety and cyber;
-
Lead and/or facilitate gap assessments for IEC61511 and IEC62443 as required;
-
Understand the fundamental concepts of reliability engineering;
-
Thoroughly understand Safety Instrumented System failure modes;
-
Develop a thorough understanding of the IEC61511 Safety Life Cycle requirements;
Ancillary responsibilities will include the following:
-
Compile proposals and budgets when required utilizing the exida Sharepoint workspace and Quotation Tracker ensuring that the tool is maintained and updated;

Travel within the ME and internationally (when required), sufficient to meet the business goals and targets of exida;
-
Identify potential threats and/or opportunities for exida’s services and product improvement and/or development;
-
Work as part of a team or individually, responsible for recording all billable and non-billable hours using Quick Books;
-
Produce white papers, blogs, webinars and new training material when required;
-
Undertake training as required to improve skill set with functional safety, and alarm rationalization as directed by business needs;
-
Agree and establish Key End Results together with the MD of Exida Middle East regarding: billable hours, revenue and profit goals;
-
Work in a professional and proper manner at all times, representing the best interests of exida.
Technical Qualifications:

CFSE/P is a requisite. Those not holding one will be required to sit and pass a simplified CFSE exam.

Comprehensive knowledge of the functional safety standards.
-
Comprehensive knowledge of the OT cybersecurity standards will be an added advantage.
Remuneration:
-
The salary will be market related and will be commensurate with experience and exida’s needs,
-
A company performance bonus will be paid out if the company meets annual targets.
-
A housing, travel and phone allowance will be included in the remuneration.

The position will start off as a 3 month probation and upon the completion of this period the position becomes permanent;
-
should the candidate not meet expectations, alternatives will be looked at.

Annual performance reviews will be performed and will form the basis for promotions and/or salary increments.
