JOB TITLE: Senior Geoscience Consultant :
The Senior Geoscience Consultant will serve as a key member of the team, providing expertise in geoscience and reservoir engineering. This role involves screening, evaluating, analyzing and documenting key technology advancements in these areas and making recommendations to Sinopec on R&D strategies, as well as supporting field development projects worldwide. The consultant will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Sinopec Technology team on all geoscience and reservoir engineering-related topics.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS::- Provide geoscience/reservoir expertise with emphasis in petroleum geology, reservoir engineering applications in oil and gas development projects.
- Manage and conduct R&D and industrial projects for both conventional and unconventional resources.
- Offer technical advice and consulting support for Sinopec E&P and research projects in related fields.
- Track and analyze the latest technology trends in geoscience and reservoir engineering area, and write clear in-depth analytical and technical reports
- Conduct technical exchanges and maintain networks with industry alliances and external partners.
- Manage research into new technology, field studies, and trends in E&P.
- Collaborate with related teams to produce solid developmental plans for related new technologies.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking and the ability to develop and implement innovative, practical solutions.
- Must deliver projects on time and within established budget and scope requirements.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: :- Proven experience contributing to geoscience and reservoir engineering aspects of onshore/offshore E&P field development projects.
- Strong background in North American onshore unconventional shale resource development, including geological evaluation, mature basin field development and redevelopment projects.
- Understanding of the interaction between geology, reservoir engineering, well engineering, and production engineering through experience in multi-disciplinary asset development teams.
- Strong understanding of technology development processes, market adoption strategies, and methodologies to implement new technologies.
- Proven leadership, innovation, and teamwork abilities, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to high-quality, professional results.
- Strong technical communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver clear, concise, and persuasive technical reports and presentations to both management and technical audiences.
- Must have project management skills and be able to prepare relevant proposals.
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and professionally.
- Able to multitask meeting deadlines and managing time effectively.
- High level of integrity and self-discipline to complete objectives on time.
- Proven ability to manage and protect confidential company information and intellectual property.
- Self-motivated and resilient, with the ability to navigate and succeed in complex technical and organizational situations.
- Maintains a professional and business-appropriate demeanor in all interactions.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, and EXPERIENCE: :- M.S. or higher in Geology, Petroleum Engineering, or related technical fields from an accredited university.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in geoscience and/or petroleum engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Must have proven experience in exploration and production (E&P) of unconventional oil and gas resources.
- Must have project management experience working in E&P development projects.
- Some domestic and international travel will be required (typically<15% per year).
- Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License with acceptable driving record or ability to obtain one.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
