Senior GIS Developer

To design, develop, maintain and enhance GIS systems used for electrical network infrastructure projects and spatial data management.

Key Responsibilities

1. GIS Application Development

o Develop and customize GIS applications for utility or infrastructure systems.

o Integrate GIS with enterprise systems.

2. Spatial Data Management

o Manage geospatial databases.

o Maintain accuracy of spatial datasets for electrical networks.

3. System Integration

o Integrate GIS platforms with:

▪ asset management systems

▪ network management systems

▪ other enterprise platforms.

4. GIS Analysis

o Perform spatial analysis and modelling.

o Support network planning and asset mapping.

5. Data Migration & Conversion

o Convert existing datasets into GIS formats.

o Clean and standardize spatial datasets.

6. Technical Support

o Provide troubleshooting for GIS software.

o Maintain GIS servers and applications.

7. Documentation

o Prepare system documentation and development guidelines.

8. Collaboration

o Work with engineers, planners and IT teams.

Experience Requirements

Typical expectation for a Senior GIS Developer:

• 5–8+ years experience in GIS development

• Experience in utility or infrastructure GIS systems

• Strong knowledge of geospatial databases

• Experience integrating GIS with enterprise systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RO500.000 - RO700.000 per month
