Job Summary
The Senior Graphic Designer is a creative leader responsible for driving the conceptualization, design, and execution of complex visual projects across all channels.2 This role requires exceptional design expertise, a strategic understanding of branding, and the ability to mentor junior team members while ensuring all output aligns with business goals.3
Key Responsibilities
Creative Leadership & Strategy
- Concept Ownership: Own major design projects from initial brief through final delivery, taking responsibility for the overall creative strategy and direction.4
- Strategic Design: Work closely with Marketing, Product, and executive stakeholders to translate high-level business objectives and campaign goals into effective visual solutions.5
- Brand Guardianship: Develop, maintain, and enforce comprehensive visual style guides and brand standards across all touchpoints (digital, print, motion), ensuring consistency and coherence.6
- Problem Solving: Tackle complex design challenges, often working beyond the initial brief to propose innovative solutions that enhance functionality or user experience (UX/UI).7
Execution & Quality Control
- High-Impact Design: Produce high-quality, original design pieces, including campaign visuals, corporate collateral, web layouts, and motion graphics.8
- Review and Feedback: Lead design reviews, provide constructive critique to junior and mid-level designers, and ensure all final deliverables meet the highest quality and technical standards.9
- Production Oversight: Oversee the preparation of final files (print-ready, web-optimized) and manage the production process, often liaising directly with printers, developers, and external vendors.10
Mentorship & Collaboration
- Mentorship: Guide and coach junior and mid-level designers, helping them develop technical skills, strategic thinking, and process efficiency.11
- Stakeholder Communication: Present and articulate design concepts, rationale, and strategy to non-design stakeholders and clients with confidence and clarity.12
- Project Management: Manage own project timelines, prioritize multiple concurrent projects, and advise on realistic deadlines and resource allocation for the team.13
Required Qualifications & Skills
Technical Expertise (Hard Skills)
- Experience: Typically 5+ years of professional experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing complex, multi-channel campaign work.14
- Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with modern collaborative tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch).15
- Design Fundamentals: Deep and demonstrable understanding of typography, color theory, layout, composition, and visual hierarchy.16
- Advanced Skills (A Plus): Experience in motion graphics (After Effects), UX/UI principles, or basic front-end development (HTML/CSS) is highly valued.
