Lancaster Design & Consulting is a collaborative design studio rooted in Lancaster County and built on long-term client partnerships. We help businesses grow through thoughtful design, clear communication, and dependable execution that turns complex information into usable solutions.

We’re seeking a Senior Designer who thrives in a high-trust, high-accountability environment and can independently carry projects from concept through production. You’ll join a team that meets clients where they are, helps them clarify information and goals, and supports them with design that’s both accurate and meaningful.

What You’ll Do:

  • Translate client goals and messy inputs into clear, structured, production-ready designs
  • Deliver accurate, client-ready drafts with strong typography, hierarchy, and clarity
  • Manage complex, data-driven InDesign layouts (catalogs, booklets, books) and use styles, tables, GREP, and automation with confidence
  • Balance creative design with production discipline (file setup, proofing, preflight)
  • Keep project files organized, navigable, and team-ready
  • Communicate context with every deliverable—what was done and why
  • Collaborate smoothly with team and clients to keep projects moving forward

What We’re Looking For:

  • Senior-level judgment & independence
  • Strong critical thinking & attention to detail
  • Clear, proactive communication with both clients and teammates
  • Commitment to accuracy, follow-through, and quality execution
  • Comfort handling both big-picture design and fine-grained production tasks

Required Skills:

  • Advanced Adobe InDesign, especially with complex and data-heavy files
  • Strong Illustrator & Photoshop skills
  • Experience with data merges, stylesheets, GREP styles, and automation
  • Ability to work confidently with spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel) for data cleanup and organization
  • Excellent proofing & accuracy standards

A Great Fit If You…

  • Enjoy working on structured, detail-rich projects
  • Take pride in organizing information & reducing confusion
  • Are self-directed, reliable, and process-minded
  • Like collaborating to help clients feel understood and supported

Nice to Have

  • Photography / Adobe Lightroom experience
  • Email marketing experience (i.e. Mailchimp)

What Success Looks Like

  • Client-ready work with minimal revision cycles
  • Projects that keep moving forward without hand-holding
  • Clear documentation & organized files
  • Trust built through dependable, thoughtful execution

Additional Notes

  • Starting pay: $35–$40 per hour
  • Hours: Anticipated 30–40 hours per week
