Senior Graphic Designer - Apparel

Position Summary:

As the Senior Apparel Graphic Designer, you will be a key player on the Spirit Jersey® Design team, you'll be responsible for conceptualizing and executing innovative garment graphics and design details that fans can wear with pride. A strong understanding of garment construction, embellishment techniques, and apparel production is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

· Create Apparel Designs: Design custom graphics and artwork for apparel collections, including prints, patterns, typography, and illustrations.

· Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with product developers, marketers, and merchandisers to ensure designs meet product requirements and brand standards.

· Trend Research: Stay updated on current fashion trends, color palettes, and design techniques to ensure that designs are relevant and appealing to the target audience.

· Prepare Design Files: Prepare and deliver high-quality design files for production, ensuring they meet technical specifications and are optimized for different materials and production processes.

· Maintain Brand Consistency: Ensure all designs reflect the brand’s identity and aesthetic guidelines while adding a creative and fresh perspective.

· Review and Revise Designs: Make revisions to designs based on feedback from internal teams or clients, ensuring all edits are completed in a timely manner.

· Packaging and Label Design: Assist in designing packaging, tags, and labels for apparel products to maintain brand cohesion.

· Manage Multiple Projects: Work on multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Fashion Design, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

· Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a graphic designer, preferably in the apparel or fashion industry.

· Design Skills: Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Experience with digital drawing tools or hand-drawn illustration is a plus.

· Strong Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing your graphic design work, particularly for apparel or fashion products, with a focus on creativity, technical skills, and an understanding of apparel design.

· Attention to Detail: Ability to spot design flaws and make improvements, ensuring all designs meet production standards.

· Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with teams and present design ideas clearly.

· Time Management: Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with 3D Design Tools: Knowledge of 3D design software for apparel mockups is a plus. Proficiency in CLO 3D design software is a significant advantage.

· Fashion Trend Knowledge: Strong understanding of fashion trends and the ability to translate trends into appealing designs.

· Illustration Skills: Experience in hand-drawn or digital illustration is highly desirable.
