What this job entails
We are seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to drive end-to-end system development for one of our client's next-generation portable electronic systems. In this role, you'll play a key part in a variety of design decisions, from defining System-on-Chip (SoC) pinouts and optimizing packaging to ensuring cost-effective manufacturing. You'll use your hands-on experience with system integration challenges to collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead our system bring-up efforts. Your expertise in system debugging and your familiarity with lab equipment will be critical to your success.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in hardware design and development, with a focus on consumer electronics.

Proven track record of delivering successful platform reference designs.

Experience with schematic capture and PCB design using tools like Cadence.

Strong understanding of system power delivery, stackups, and RLC component selection.

Hands-on experience with chipset bring-up, system validation, and troubleshooting in a laboratory environment.

Aptitude for failure analysis (FA) and debugging system-level issues.
Travel Requirement:

A maximum of two trips to Asia may be required over a one year period.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

7+ years of experience in a related role.

Experience leading socket-based Platform PCB design.

Expertise in establishing Board-level Power Delivery Network (PDN) and Signal Integrity (SI) specifications.

Experience with battery-powered, wireless, or embedded hardware.

Knowledge of various buses and signals, including I2C, SPI, UART, MIPI, I2S, and USB.
Salary Range
$107,520.00 - $134,400.00 USD (Salary)
