Purpose of the Role;

Senior Holiday Specialist designs and sells personalized travel packages, handles complex bookings, and provides expert advice to clients. Responsibilities include market research, vendor management, budget oversight, and achieving sales targets. This role requires strong sales and communication skills, extensive knowledge of travel trends, and the ability to manage client relationships and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

  • Client consultation: Provide expert advice on destinations, accommodations, and travel arrangements based on client preferences and budgets.
  • Itinerary design: Create, customize, and coordinate complex, bespoke travel packages and itineraries.
  • Sales and bookings: Convert leads into bookings, meet sales targets, handle all bookings for flights, hotels, and tours, and issue necessary travel documents.
  • Vendor management: Build and maintain strong relationships with travel partners and vendors to secure the best rates and services.
  • Client support: Provide pre-travel and in-travel support, address issues promptly, and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Market research: Stay updated on travel trends, new destinations, and competitor offerings to ensure competitive products.
  • Budget management: Monitor and manage client budgets for travel arrangements.
  • Administrative tasks: Handle invoicing and other related paperwork.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Assisting the travel consultant on holiday packages.

Seek management assistance and guidance by reporting any issues/worries related to reservation & ticketing that can escalate in the future.

Skills/Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in travel and tourism industry

Able to use GDS for flights booking, online hotels and for other ground arrangement bookings

Fair awareness of tour activities for varied destinations.

IATA certificate

Other relevant supporting certificates related to leisure travel & auxiliary course

Computer literate in MS Office & Windows

Planning, organizing, strategic thinking and analytical skills

Competencies

· To tailor-make and customize trip plans and itineraries for holiday packages as per clients’ requirements.

· Knowledge of various holiday destinations.

· Negotiation & persuasion skills with clients and vendors

· Need more exposure to popular holiday destinations to work with clients.

· Multilingual skill is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
