About the Role

To achieve this, we need an HR Specialist who is as much a "people person" as they are a process expert. This is a role for a seasoned professional who enjoys the "nitty-gritty" of HR operations but never loses sight of the human element.

As a Senior HR Specialist, you will be the go-to expert for our faculty and staff, ensuring that every stage of the employee lifecycle—from the first interview to the final exit—is handled with precision, care, and the unique "Kompass" touch.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the full talent acquisition process for specialized educational and administrative roles, ensuring a high-quality candidate experience.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a trusted point of contact for staff inquiries, providing guidance on policies, benefits, and workplace transitions.
  • Onboarding & Integration: Design and lead comprehensive induction programs that help new educators feel culturally and professionally "at home" from day one.
  • HR Operations: Oversee the accuracy of employee records, contract renewals, and the administration of our HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
  • Compliance & Audit: Ensure all staff files meet rigorous educational regulatory standards, including safeguarding, background checks, and visa processing.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage the day-to-day execution of our competitive wellness and insurance plans, ensuring all staff receive their entitlements seamlessly.

What We’re Looking For

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, or CIPD Level 5) is highly preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in HR, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked within the education or non-profit sectors.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel and experience managing modern HRIS platforms and recruitment software.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication in English. Professional Arabic skills are a significant advantage for navigating local labor landscapes.
  • Mindset: A detail-oriented problem-solver who can "see it from both sides"—balancing the school’s operational needs with the well-being of our educators.
