We are working with a premier, global engineering firm headquartered in Boston, MA, looking for an experienced Senior Human Resource Generalist to join their team.
This firm is renowned for engineering complex, high-performance environments ranging from governmental, educational, commercial and healthcare facilities. Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Generalist will handle daily departmental functions ranging from talent acquisition to complex compliance and immigration tracking. This is a critical role in large organization that values technical excellence and professional integrity.
Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Management: Partner with departmental managers to understand required skills and competencies. Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified applicants for open positions within a highly competitive engineering market.

Immigration & Compliance: Act as the primary lead for all immigration cases. Work closely with the HR Director, Principals, and legal counsel to ensure U.S. Foreign National employees are tracked and compliant, notifying leadership of any necessary recertifications.

Licensure & Training Oversight: Review, track, and document compliance for mandatory training, continuing education, and professional licensure (PE) or certifications required for engineering staff.

Project & Site Security: Manage and maintain proper badging credentials for employees traveling onsite to sensitive client projects, ensuring all project-specific compliance remains current.

Employee Relations & Inquiry Management: Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors. Refer complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff while enforcing company policies and practices.

Program Administration: Execute core HR programs including talent management and employee engagement initiatives. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes, employment law, and HR technology trends.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. SHRM-CP designation is preferred.

Experience: 8–12 years of related HR experience, ideally within an engineering, architecture, or professional services environment.

Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and recent, hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now and modern talent management systems.

Core Competencies: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Must possess strong analytical abilities and the capacity to act with the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
