SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES TECHNICIAN - OPS

JOB SUMMARYResponsible for processing all personnel actions, logging, and tracking personnel actions, processing all employee evaluations, keying pay increases, salary adjustments, terminations, retirements, leave, promotions, demotions, suspensions, and all other personnel actions.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Maintains accurate records of assigned area and provides data analytics. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resources systems / programs. Records and processes for performance evaluations and related actions. Processes and records Personnel Action Forms in HRIS. Maintains employee records, ensures completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details. Processes departmental purchase orders and initiates payment requests. Tracks departmental expenditures and reconciles department P-Card. Performs quality checks on departmental time and attendance records in timekeeping system. Participates in presenting materials in new hire orientation on a regular basis.Attends local and out of town job fair / career events.Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
City personnel policies and procedures.Interpreting and applying applicable federal and state laws, codes, regulations and standards (based on assignment).Human Resources methodologies.Human Resources Information Systems and/or Applicant Tracking Systems.Skill in Establishing priorities and organizing work.Providing exceptional customer service.Utilizing a computer and relevant software applications.Communicating effectively with a diverse population.Establishing positive working relationships.Skill in HRIS and Applicant tracking software preferred.Skill in use of computer software (Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIESNonePHYSICAL DEMANDSThe work is sedentary work which requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
