Job Summary:

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Imports Executive to join our distribution team. The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end process of importing goods, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to our warehouse, and complying with all regulations and company policies. The role will involve coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs authorities, and internal teams to facilitate smooth import operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Imports Coordination:
  • Manage the import process for all products, from order confirmation to product delivery.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders to ensure timely shipments.
  • Monitor shipment status, delivery schedules, and resolve any delays or issues.
  • Customs and Documentation:
  • Ensure that all import documentation (e.g., bills of lading, import permits, commercial invoices, etc.) is accurate and submitted on time.
  • Liaise with customs authorities to facilitate the smooth clearing of goods.
  • Ensure compliance with local import/export regulations and customs duties.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure proper receipt, storage, and tracking of imported goods.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment based on demand.
  • Supplier & Vendor Relations:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers and vendors.
  • Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues related to product quality, delivery, and invoicing.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Ensure that all imports comply with international trade laws and company policies.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry regulations, import tariffs, and changes in trade policies.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
  • Provide regular reports on import activities, including inventory levels, shipping delays, and cost analysis.
  • Analyze import processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in import operations, logistics, or a similar role (preferably in a distribution environment).
  • Strong knowledge of import/export documentation, customs procedures, and international shipping.
  • Familiarity with trade compliance regulations and customs duty.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP or logistics management systems.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
