Role Overview
You will lead the development of new automation services and shipping system enhancements in line with enterprise architecture, security governance, and system design standards. Acting as the key interface between business, IT, and external vendors, you will ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with trading and operations requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Own and manage day-to-day activities of the shipping systems, including defect management, interface flows, static/reference data, and user access.

Support business users by explaining system functionality and dependencies across platforms including
IMOS
and other core trading systems.

Deliver user training, documentation, and knowledge-transfer sessions for shipping and operations teams.

Maintain and enhance custom reporting solutions built on SQL Server
,
including development of new reports to meet evolving business needs.

Coordinate closely with shipping system vendors, system integrator, and internal IT teams (CTRM, SAP, Infrastructure).

Manage technical environments in collaboration with infrastructure teams, including deployments, patches, test environment refreshes, and server maintenance.

Act as lead Business Analyst for shipping and automation initiatives: gather requirements, assess change requests, define priorities, and translate business needs into functional specifications.

Own end-to-end change management, including impact analysis, process mapping, blueprinting, functional design, testing, UAT, training, and production rollout.
Requirements
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
Experience & Skills
-
10+ years’ experience as a
Business Analyst or Systems Lead
within oil or energy trading environments.

Strong experience with
Shipping & Operations systems
.

Good understanding of
CTRM platforms
, ideally
IMOS

Solid knowledge of crude oil and refined products trading and operational processes.

Proven experience managing IT vendors and system integrators.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies.

Hands-on technical skills including SQL, programming/scripting languages, Visual Basic, and Excel macros.
