Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Role Overview
The ideal candidate will be a Simulations and Systems Maintenance Engineer or Technical Operations Manager. They will maintain the smooth functioning of high end simulators and equipment, handling broad skill sets in technical hardware, software troubleshooting, and vendor management. They will be the primary point of contact for day to day running and troubleshooting, liaising with manufacturers for support when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical Engineering Knowledge:
- Expertise in handling motion platforms, actuators, and mechanical parts.
- Ability to perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
- Electronics and Electrical Engineering:
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and power supply.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues in actuators, motors, and controllers.
- Networking and IT:
- Experience with network connected devices such as Cisco access points.
- Capability to maintain network integrity and perform remote diagnostics.
- Software and Systems:
- Knowledge of simulator software (flight or racing simulation programs) and its interface with motion platforms.
- Ability to perform software updates, configuration changes, and troubleshooting.
- Vendor Coordination and Communication:
- Identify when external support is needed and communicate with vendors (e.g., BRUNNER, D BOX, VESARO).
- Manage warranty claims, schedule service visits, and coordinate with third party providers.
- General Facilities Maintenance:
- Oversee overall system health, including temperature control and ventilation.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering) or equivalent experience.
- Experience maintaining high end simulation systems is highly desirable.
- Vendor management experience for multiple equipment manufacturers.
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose both hardware and software issues.
