Senior Interior Architect – Job Description
Location: Dubai Head Office (Full‑time, Office‑based)
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete Interior Design process, including Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, and Tender Documentation.
- Lead and manage a team of Interior Designers and Draftsmen, ensuring high‑quality output and effective coordination with Specialist Sub‑consultants.
- Develop detailed design timelines and project schedules, ensuring full integration with Architectural, MEP, Structural, and all specialist design packages.
- Coordinate Interior Design drawings with all related disciplines, including Architectural, Structural, MEP, Authorities’ requirements, End‑User requirements, and specialist consultants to ensure full design alignment.
- Prepare comprehensive Finishes Material Schedules and Materials Legends with complete descriptions and specifications.
- Conduct Value Engineering exercises to meet project budget requirements while maintaining design quality and intent.
- Review subcontractors’ Shop Drawings, Material Submissions, Data Sheets, Subcontractor Prequalification documents, and all related technical submissions.
- Review and approve Finishes Material Sample Boards in accordance with project standards.
- Prepare written reports, design briefs, findings, and recommendations based on design performance and project requirements.
- Utilize advanced design and engineering software to prepare accurate and high‑quality design documents.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- Professional licensure or certification as a Registered Interior Designer or Architect is preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of proven experience in the GCC, working with consultant firms on complex, large‑scale projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of International building codes, authority regulations, and construction practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Strong creative thinking, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail in design execution.
