OVERVIEW:
The Senior Designer will be a key creative force within our design team, responsible for leading and executing interior design projects from concept to completion. This role requires a high level of design expertise, project management skills, and the ability to mentor and inspire junior designers. The Senior Interior Designer will collaborate closely with clients, vendors, and team members to bring innovative and aesthetically pleasing design solutions to life.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage interior design projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Creative Direction and Design Oversight:
- Develop and provide creative direction and oversee the entire design process from concept development to project completion.
- Present design concepts, gather feedback, and make adjustments to meet client expectations.
- Client Collaboration:
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and project goals.
- Address any issues or modifications needed during the construction or installation phase.
- Planning and Design Implementation:
- Analyze spaces thoroughly and create effective space plans optimizing functionality and aesthetics.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure design implementation quality and accuracy.
- Team Support and Development:
- Mentor and guide junior designers, providing support in design development and project execution.
- Foster a collaborative and learning environment within the design team.
- Industry Awareness and Collaboration:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative design solutions.
- Collaborate with architects and contractors to ensure seamless integration of design concepts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in interior design with a focus on residential and/or commercial projects.
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Leadership qualities and experience in mentoring junior designers.
- Membership in professional design associations is a plus.
