Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Interior Designer to join our team. The role requires strong design development skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage projects independently from concept to completion.

Position Details

• Role: Interior Designer
• Work Location: Mount Road, near EA Mall, Chennai
• Job Type: Full-time (On-site, No Work from Home)
• Work Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹32,000 per month
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in interior design
• Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Canva, Excel

Key Responsibilities

Design Development

• Prepare design concepts, mood boards, and layout plans based on client requirements.
• Develop 2D drawings, 3D renderings, and design presentations using relevant software.
• Review and finalize project drawings, including sections, elevations, furniture layouts, and electrical/lighting plans.
• Manage design tasks independently while coordinating with junior designers, interns, and external consultants.

Client Interaction

• Participate in client meetings to gather requirements and present design solutions.
• Prepare and deliver presentations; incorporate client feedback into design revisions.
• Advise clients on suitable materials, finishes, and design elements.

Project Execution

• Coordinate with project management to ensure designs are implemented accurately on-site.
• Conduct regular site visits, monitor progress, and perform detailed quality checks.
• Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and support procurement activities.

Team Collaboration

• Work with vendors, contractors, and consultants to meet project schedules.
• Coordinate with MEP and HVAC subcontractors for seamless integration.
• Provide design-related inputs for marketing and promotional initiatives.

Technical & Project Management

• Demonstrate expertise in materials, finishes, detailing, and construction techniques.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality standards effectively.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and deliverables.

Problem-Solving & Communication

• Proactively address site-level challenges with practical solutions.
• Manage client expectations and resolve conflicts when required.
• Ensure clear, professional communication across all stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in interior design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Canva, and MS Office.
• Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and construction details.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
