Senior Interior Designer / Design Manager

Company Overview:

POLYMER Building Contracting L.L.C. is a China-rooted design and build company with over 10 years of experience in the UAE. We specialize in construction, interior design, MEP engineering, landscaping, and custom furniture manufacturing. With more than 300 completed commercial and residential projects in Dubai, we are expanding our design team and seeking an experienced professional to lead our design department.

Position: Senior Interior Designer / Design Manager

Location: Dubai, UAE

Job Requirements:

- Minimum 10 years of experience in the interior design industry.

- At least 2 years of working experience in Dubai, familiar with local construction requirements, authority approval processes, and materials.

- Strong leadership abilities with proven experience managing and guiding a design team.

- Proficiency in full design workflow: concept design, mood boards, 3D visualization, construction drawings, and site coordination.

- Skilled in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3Ds Max, Photoshop; Revit proficiency is an advantage.

- English proficiency is mandatory; Russian or Chinese language skills are considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and supervise the design department, ensuring quality, efficiency, and creative direction.

- Develop concept designs, space planning, material proposals, and presentation documents.

- Review and approve design deliverables including drawings, selections, and details.

- Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and project teams to ensure design intent is successfully executed.

- Prepare and review drawings required for authority approvals (DM / DCD / TECOM / Trakhees / DEWA).

- Conduct site visits to monitor design implementation and resolve technical issues.

Salary & Benefits:

- Salary range: AED 10,000 – 15,000 per month (depending on experience).
