Senior Interior Designer/Project Manager

Position and summary:
Senior Interior Designer to work in all phases of design projects and in support of principals. The applicant should help forecast and identify studio needs and play a role in the design team during all phases of high-end residential interior design projects.

Applicant must have a strong ability to design, document work, shift between tasks easily, time-manage, organize, and follow through on tasks. The position will be full time and the hours related to working are in line with the studio’s needs. This is an in-person position in our studio in Laguna Beach, CA

Duties and responsibilities:
Identify and work with Principals on various tasks as needed, including but not limited to:
- Design conceptualization, material and furniture selections and specifications, selecting materials for client meetings and documenting the finding of client and team meetings

- Interfacing and liaising with furniture shops, cabinetry shops and related vendors to work through operational tasks.
- Be an active part of furniture installation and completed projects

- Design and document Interior concepts, construction documenation and selections in AutoCAD. ADVANCE LEVEL Auto CAD skills are required for the position. Working knowledge of rendering programs a plus.

Proficiency in business software

- Other duties as needed.

Qualifications:
- This position requires 5 years minimum of interior design and / decorative work in a professional capacity.

-Expertise in construction
- Experience in handling duties commiserate with a design studio
- Experienced and comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Access to a reliable vehicle is required.

- A working knowledge of studio designer a plus

- Advance Auto CAD proficiency A MUST and is an active part of the job.

-Advance Sketch up / V-Ray proficiency or similar rendering programs

-Advance photoshop proficiency

- Ability to professionally represent company to clients, showrooms and vendors

- Willingness to observe company policies, procedures, and the instructions of the management
