The Senior Audit & Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring the organization operates in accordance with internal controls, company policies, and external regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in strengthening governance, transparency, and accountability across all business functions including Finance, HR, Operations, Sales, Procurement, and Marketing within the real estate development and construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Internal Audit & Risk Management

Conduct periodic internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.

Identify gaps or irregularities and recommend practical, corrective actions.

Evaluate financial transactions, contracts, and procurement activities to ensure compliance with company and statutory standards.

Review project-level expenditures and progress reports for accuracy and transparency.
2. Compliance Oversight

Ensure full compliance with UAE laws, real estate regulations (RERA, DLD), and internal company policies.

Develop and update compliance frameworks, manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Monitor adherence to Code of Conduct, anti-bribery, and ethical business practices across all departments.

Act as the primary liaison for compliance-related inquiries or investigations.
3. Reporting & Documentation

Prepare detailed audit and compliance reports highlighting findings, risks, and recommendations.

Present key observations and compliance updates to senior management.

Maintain all compliance records and audit documentation in a structured and confidential manner.
4. Cross-Department Coordination

Collaborate with Finance, HR, Sales, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure process integrity.

Review new contracts, vendor agreements, and payments to ensure policy alignment.

Work closely with department heads to implement corrective actions and prevent future non-compliance.
5. Continuous Improvement & Training

Conduct training sessions for staff on compliance awareness and ethical conduct.

Keep abreast of changes in UAE laws, RERA regulations, and industry standards.

Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and internal control.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree
in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Law (Master’s preferred).

Professional certifications
such as CPA, CIA, CFE, or Compliance Certification are an advantage.

Minimum 5 years
of experience in internal audit, risk management, or compliance, preferably within
real estate development, construction, or contracting
