Job Title: Warehouse and Inventory Senior

Deliver Egypt’s first High Speed Rail Service with DBEE. DBEE is a joint venture between DB International Operations and Elsewedy Electric. DB International Operations provides rail operations and maintenance worldwide; Elsewedy Electric, global energy and infrastructure solutions provider. Together, we combine strong local capabilities with proven global railway expertise to enable efficient, safe and sustainable passenger and freight mobility on Egypt’s first High Speed Rail network.

We are looking for you as early as possible as Warehouse and Inventory Senior for DB-El Sewedy Railway Operation Egypt for the primary location Cairo.

The role:

Responsible for ensuring that every maintenance team across the Egyptian High-Speed Rail network — spanning 21 stations, a depot complex, and multiple service points — has the right spare parts and materials available at the right place and time. The role owns the full inventory lifecycle from first-fill programme delivery through to day-to-day stock management, warehouse operations governance, and procurement coordination, directly managing three field teams totalling over 20 staff. Operating within DBEE's ISO 55001-compliant Asset Management System, the role is the single accountability point for materials readiness and acts as the primary interface between the Planning & Logistics function and the DBEE Procurement Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end spare parts first-fill programme across all HSR stations, depots, and service points, ensuring materials are in place before operational handover
  • Own the spare parts management strategy: min/max stock levels, replenishment triggers, AVL governance, and obsolescence management
  • Manage and performance-direct three direct-report teams: Warehouse & Inventory Supervisors, Storekeepers/Kitting Supervisors, and the centralised Expeditor
  • Oversee warehouse operations at all sites — storage conditions, FIFO/shelf-life controls, housekeeping, and HSE compliance
  • Act as the single DBEE procurement focal point: coordinate with the Procurement Team, drive AVL compliance, and maintain lead-time data in the CMMS
  • Direct the Expeditor to fast-track critical and emergency spare parts; resolve supply chain disruptions before they impact maintenance delivery
  • Own CMMS inventory module accuracy — real-time stock positions, AVL data, goods receipt processing, and master data approvals
  • Produce monthly inventory and warehousing KPI dashboards and report to the Planning & Logistics Manager
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with contractual sourcing requirements; escalate AVL deviations through the MoC process
  • Contribute warehousing and material-supply data to the AMC management review cycle

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in warehouse and inventory management, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role within a large infrastructure, rail, or facilities O&M environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing a first-fill programme for a major capital project or greenfield facility
  • Proficient in CMMS platforms, such as SAP PM, Maximo, or equivalent, specifically inventory, purchasing, and master data modules
  • Strong knowledge of spare parts management principles: criticality-based stocking, min/max logic, FIFO, shelf-life control, and obsolescence management
  • Experience managing and developing multi-disciplinary warehouse teams across dispersed, multi-site operations
  • Proven track record managing procurement interfaces and supplier performance, including expediting and customs/import coordination
  • Familiarity with ISO 55001 asset management principles and the role of inventory management within an AMS
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English, written and spoken, required for NAT interface and site operations
  • PMP, CIPS, APICS CPIM, or equivalent supply chain/logistics certification is an advantage
