Role Overview
We are hiring an experienced investment professional with strong exposure to Private Equity, Pre-IPO, Special Situations, and Alternative Investments. The role involves managing the end-to-end investment lifecycle — from deal sourcing and evaluation to execution, portfolio monitoring, and exit planning.
This position is ideal for candidates from buy-side investing, AIFs, family offices, or investment banking backgrounds who have hands-on experience evaluating Indian companies and executing transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Sourcing & Evaluation
- Identify and evaluate investment opportunities across Pre-IPO, Private Equity, Real Assets, and Special Situations
- Conduct management discussions and preliminary screenings
- Maintain deal pipeline tracker and prepare investment rationales
Financial Modelling & Valuation
- Build integrated 3-statement models, DCF and LBO models
- Perform comparable company & precedent transaction analysis
- Conduct credit analysis and downside risk assessment
- Prepare IRR and return projections
Due Diligence & Execution
- Coordinate financial, legal, and technical due diligence
- Draft Investment Memoranda (IM), Transaction Notes, and IC presentations
- Assist in deal structuring, negotiations, and closure
Portfolio Monitoring
- Track portfolio company performance and financial metrics
- Develop MIS dashboards and reporting trackers
- Recommend value creation and exit strategies
Market Research & Compliance
- Conduct sector research and monitor regulatory developments (SEBI/RBI/IBC)
- Support fund reporting, audits, and compliance processes
Mandatory Requirements
- 5+ years experience in Private Equity, AIFs, Investment Banking, Special Situations, or Family Office investing
- Strong buy-side analysis experience evaluating Indian companies
- Experience evaluating Pre-IPO, PE, real asset, and distressed/special situation investments
- Experience managing complete investment lifecycle (origination → closure)
- Strong financial modelling skills (DCF, LBO, scenario modelling)
- Experience creating Investment Memoranda and IC presentations
- Strong understanding of valuation methodologies and credit analysis
- Familiarity with Capital IQ / PitchBook / Tracxn / Venture Intelligence
- Education: MBA (Finance) / CA / CFA
Preferred
- CA or CFA Charterholder / Level III candidate
- Experience in PE funds, AIF Category II/III, IB, or Special Situation funds
