Job Summary:
Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, the Senior IT Support Specialist role provides front-line IT support with a strong emphasis on end-user experience and operational consistency. This role serves as a key point of contact for staff, ensuring smooth day-to-day technology operations. This role provides technical assistance to all staff nationwide with on-site presence in Orlando, Florida (Altamonte Springs). Responsibilities also include managing our IT assets, provisioning equipment for new hires, and delivering staff training sessions that add measurable value.
The Senior IT Support Specialist is expected to be highly organized, people-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-growing company, focusing on helpdesk services, customer satisfaction, and process improvements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Provide frontline IT support while leveraging advanced technical skills to resolve escalated or more complex issues directly.
· Onboarding & offboarding: prepare, deploy, and train staff on company hardware, applications, and IT best practices.
· Deploy and maintain devices and peripherals; manage shipping, receiving, and IT inventory lifecycle.
· Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and technical documentation for systems and processes.
· Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, VOIP, conferencing systems, and related enterprise tools.
· Create, manage, and maintain user accounts, security groups, and policies (Entra / Azure AD).
· Create and follow IT documentation for onboarding, hardware deployment, and support procedures.
· Host and support training initiatives with new-hires, including KnowBe4 and other staff-facing IT awareness programs.
· Collaborate with IT leadership to identify opportunities for workflow improvements and enhanced staff experience.
· Serve as the hands-on IT presence for the East Region, including hardware setup and on-site troubleshooting.
· Create, interpret, and present operational reports to support decision-making.
· Other duties assigned as necessary.
Technologies Summary:
· Microsoft 365 Suite: Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune/Autopilot, Entra ID, Single Sign-On, and Microsoft Defender.
· Security & Compliance Tools: KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training, CodeTwo Email Signatures, HackerGuardian, Veritas.
· Infrastructure & Virtualization: Azure Virtual Machines and Microsoft Exchange. Hyper-V experience is a plus.
· Networking & Security: Fortinet firewalls, Dell, Cisco & Ubiquiti networking gear, LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VPN, SSL/IPSec.
· Identity & Directory Services: Entra ID/Azure AD, Intune Group Policy.
· Collaboration & Business Apps: Zoom PBX, Egnyte, Sage, Intuit, ACT CRM, BQE Core.
· Cloud & Emerging Tech: BI/data platforms, construction/litigation tools, imaging systems, drones.
Qualifications:
· 1-3 years of IT support or equivalent customer-facing technical role.
· Strong technical knowledge of Azure, Intune, and Exchange.
· Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, routing/switching).
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and handle escalated technical challenges.
· Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with organizational technologies.
· Experience coordinating with external vendors for services.
· Highly organized with attention to detail; able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits
· Compensation Range: ~$25–$31 an hour (based on experience, training, and certifications).
· Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, and professional development.
Standard business hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM.
On-site required: Orlando (Altamonte) office with occasional travel to satellite offices. Hybrid work schedule.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 50 lbs. Assist staff with workstation setups, cabling, and equipment relocations.
