The Senior IT Systems Administrator provides advanced support for the performance, reliability, and security of the site’s IT environment, including network infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and end-user services. The incumbent drives execution of infrastructure strategy, leads complex technical initiatives, and ensures alignment between technology capabilities and operational requirements.

Technical Workflow Optimization & Coordination

Provides advanced support for the performance, stability, and optimization of all site IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, systems, and end-user environments.

Serves as escalation point for complex technical issues and drives resolution through structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Establishes and enforces system standards, configurations, and operating procedures.

Ensures integrity of backup systems, disaster recovery readiness, and business continuity capabilities.

Oversees telecom, VOIP, and wireless infrastructure to ensure reliability and coverage across site operations.

Direct system administration activities including Active Directory, access controls, and enterprise system performance.

Strategic & Project Responsibilities

Drives execution of the site IT roadmap, ensuring alignment with operational priorities and corporate standards.

Provides advance support for infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, and technology improvement initiatives.

Leads priorities, timelines, and resource requirements for IT projects and operational activities.

Monitors and reports on key performance indicators including system uptime, service levels, and support metrics.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

Identifies risks and drives mitigation strategies to protect systems and data integrity.

Ensures audit readiness and compliance with internal and external requirements.

Service Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement

Supports delivery of IT support services, ensuring responsiveness, quality, and user satisfaction.

Builds strong partnerships with operational leaders to ensure technology effectively supports production and business needs.

Vendor & Asset Management
-
Build and maintain vendor and service-provider relationships.

Supports procurement strategy and lifecycle management of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licensing.

Ensures responsible stewardship and tracking of all IT assets.

Leadership & Organizational Impact

Contributes to workforce planning, role design, and succession readiness within the IT function.

Other Responsibilities
o Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and weekends support.
o Perform additional duties as needed to support the success of Robinson Nevada Mining Company and KGHM.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field; equivalent experience considered.

Experience:
-
7–10 years of progressive IT experience with increasing responsibility in infrastructure, systems, and network environments.

Demonstrated experience leading complex technical initiatives or projects.

Licenses: Valid driver’s license.

Experience:

Fortinet NSE4+, Microsoft M365/Azure.

Experience supporting IT in mining or heavy-industry environments.

Advanced knowledge of enterprise network infrastructure.

Cybersecurity best practices and incident response.

Windows server administration, and virtualization.

Strong analytical, diagnostic, and project management skills.

Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing.

Ability to meet the required physical demands, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly.
