Duties

• Lead the development and maintenance of backend services using Java, ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and web services to facilitate smooth communication between client applications and servers
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate UI components built with React, Angular, or other frameworks, ensuring a cohesive user experience
• Develop and optimize database schemas using SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server) and NoSQL databases like MongoDB for high efficiency and scalability
• Implement microservices architecture leveraging AWS cloud services, Docker containers, and CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery
• Conduct code reviews, debugging sessions, and performance tuning to maintain high-quality codebase and system reliability
• Participate actively in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to foster team collaboration

Requirements

• Proven experience in software development with a focus on Java backend technologies; familiarity with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot or Java EE is essential
• Strong understanding of web development principles including RESTful API design, SOAP web services, XML/JSON data formats, and web security standards
• Hands-on experience with database design, SQL scripting (T-SQL), stored procedures, and ORM tools like Entity Framework or Hibernate
• Knowledge of multithreading, concurrency management, and application performance optimization techniques in Java applications
• Proficiency with front-end integration using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React or Angular frameworks for full-stack collaboration
• Experience working within Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban; familiarity with version control systems like GitHub or SVN is required
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for deploying scalable applications; understanding of microservices architecture is preferred
• Ability to write comprehensive unit tests using testing frameworks to ensure code quality; experience with TFS or similar tools for source control management is advantageous
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on debugging complex issues across distributed systems
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
