Senior Java/Python Developer - Kuwait

Nabd, the #1 Arabic app & platform, is looking to hire an experienced Senior Java/Python Developer in Kuwait , with strong experience to design, build, and maintain scalable, production-grade systems used across multiple products and teams. You will play a key role in technical decision-making, system design, and mentoring, while remaining hands-on with code.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience with Java and Python programming languages
• Understanding of object-oriented Java programming.
• Proficient with code versioning tools including Git.
• Experience in planning and delivering software solutions used across multiple products and organizational units
• Extensive knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills.
• Must be self-starter, proactive and willing to learn and grow with the business.
• Active residency in Kuwait

Job Description:

• Design, develop, and maintain  robust back-end systems  using  Java and Python
• Lead and contribute to  system architecture and technical design decisions
• Build reusable services and components used across multiple products and teams
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices
• Review code, provide constructive feedback, and  mentor junior engineers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Ensure system reliability, performance, scalability, and security in production environments
• Participate in planning, estimation, and delivery of software initiatives
• Continuously improve development processes, tooling, and engineering standards.
