About JPSD

A well known Nonprofit Community Welfare organization JPSD is seeking committed, ethical, and detail-oriented finance professionals for the positions of Senior Accountant and Junior Accountant.

Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounting operations, financial reporting, and general ledger functions.
  • Supervise bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
  • Develop and maintain financial controls, accounting procedures, and compliance systems.
  • Handle budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
  • Maintain fund accounting, donor accounting, and grant accounting records where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with taxation, statutory, regulatory, and audit requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and financial institutions.
  • Review and authorize vouchers, payments, receipts, and supporting documentation.
  • Support management in financial planning, reporting, and policy implementation.
  • Assist in establishing transparent financial governance and accountability frameworks.
  • Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
  • Qualified Accountants preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial controls.
  • Experience with accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and ability to handle confidential information.

Junior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining books of accounts and accounting records.
  • Process vouchers, invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Support bank reconciliations and ledger maintenance.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules.
  • Maintain documentation and filing systems.
  • Support taxation, audit, and compliance-related work.
  • Assist in petty cash management and expense tracking.
  • Coordinate with internal departments for financial documentation.
  • Provide support in fund accounting and donor/grant record maintenance where required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Part-qualified preferred.
  • 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and taxation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow professionally.
