Job Description
Overall Responsibility:
The Senior Key Account Manager is responsible for handling the most important client accounts in a company. These accounts make up the highest percentage of company income, and the Senior Key Account Manager must build and maintain a strong relationship with the client. SRKAM will be the lead point of contact for all key client matters, anticipate the client’s needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for the client are met, and help the client succeed. The Senior Key Account Manager will also bring in new business from existing clients or contacts and will develop new relationships with potential clients.
- Resolve key client issues and complaints.

Develop a complete understanding of key account needs.

Anticipate key account changes and improvements.

Manage communications between key clients and internal teams (Store Managers, District Managers and Buyers).

Coordinate with Sales Management team (DSD Managers, Sales Supervisors) assigned to each client.

Develop Strategic planning to improve client results and Business Reviews based on mutually established Goals for Key Accounts.

Establish, manage, and oversee internal promotional budgets with the company and external promotional budgets with the client, always keeping budget within approved yearly trade marketing budget.

Works closely with sales team, marketing, production, and team members from other departments dedicated to the same client account to ensure and exceed the highest quality of service.

Collaborate with the sales team to maximize profit by up-selling or cross-selling.

Manage new business pipeline.
Education and Experience
-
10 years increasingly responsible experience in sales

Bachelor’s degree or related experience
-
Experience in CPG and specifically in selling food products into grocery store
Key Skills and Abilities

Bi-lingual English/ Spanish required and experience with Hispanic products preferred

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Exceptional presentation skills and ability to create and present PowerPoint presentations

Strong negotiation skills

Outstanding relationship and customer service skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
Technical and Software Skills

Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite with particular expertise with PowerPoint

Experience with customer relationship management software and Excel
Other Requirements
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, work both in office and remotely, and understanding that the position sometimes requires nights, weekends and longer hours
