Senior Lab Technician (Highrise Building)

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Lab Technician for high-rise building construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting and supervising construction material testing, maintaining quality control standards, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and relevant testing procedures. Candidates having working experience with NESPAK will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and supervise laboratory and field testing of construction materials.
• Perform tests for concrete, cement, steel, aggregates, soil, MS Material and other construction materials as per standards and specifications.
• Monitor concrete slump, temperature, cube making, curing, and compressive strength testing.
• Maintain quality control records, test reports, and laboratory documentation.
• Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and QA/QC teams regarding testing requirements and results.
• Ensure testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
• Monitor material compliance with approved mix designs and project specifications.
• Assist in inspection and approval of incoming construction materials.
• Report non-conformance issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Supervise laboratory staff and ensure proper implementation of testing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and laboratory practices.

Requirements

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Lab Technician in high-rise building construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction material testing procedures and quality control standards.
• Experience in concrete, soil, steel, and aggregate testing.
• Working experience with NESPAK will be preferred.
• Ability to prepare and maintain laboratory reports and documentation.
• Familiarity with ASTM, AASHTO, BS, or relevant testing standards.
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and laboratory reporting systems preferred.
