Job description:
A Lab Technician is responsible for collecting, labeling, and preparing patient samples for laboratory testing while ensuring accuracy and adherence to standard procedures. The role involves performing routine laboratory tests, operating and maintaining lab equipment, maintaining proper documentation of test results, and reporting any abnormal findings to the concerned doctor or pathologist. The Lab Technician must strictly follow safety, hygiene, and quality control guidelines, ensure cleanliness of the laboratory, and manage laboratory consumables and inventory. The candidate should have a DMLT or BSc MLT qualification, possess basic knowledge of laboratory instruments, and demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
