Senior Laravel Backend Developer

Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Laravel Backend Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend systems, ensuring scalability, security, and clean architecture. You will work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to build reliable and efficient web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Laravel

• Build and optimize RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications

• Ensure application performance, scalability, and security

• Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code following best practices

• Review code and mentor junior developers

• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and product teams

• Implement database structures, migrations, and optimized queries

• Integrate third-party services, APIs, and payment gateways

• Identify bottlenecks and fix bugs efficiently

• Participate in system architecture and technical decision-making

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience

• Strong expertise in PHP and Laravel

• Solid experience with MySQL / PostgreSQL

• Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture

• Experience with authentication, authorization, and role-based access control

• Familiarity with queues, jobs, cron tasks, and background processing

• Experience with Git and version control workflows

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good communication skills in English

Nice to Have

• Experience with Laravel Horizon, Redis, and caching strategies

• Knowledge of Docker and server deployment

• Experience with AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar cloud platforms

• Experience building large-scale or high-traffic applications

• Familiarity with microservices architecture
