We’re looking for a senior Laravel builder who thrives in the middle of systems, business logic, and automation.
This is not a “manager” job. It is a doer seat.
You will be the solo developer owning our internal business applications. You design it, build it, ship it, and maintain it. You work directly with leadership, turn messy ideas into clean Laravel code, connect systems that do not want to talk to each other, and keep operations from grinding to a halt.
If you are the kind of person who gets twitchy when a process is manual, repetitive, or sloppy and you cannot help but build a better system for it, keep reading.
What You Will Actually Do
- Live inside our Laravel applications and the surrounding stack (MySQL, queues, APIs, webhooks, call center tools, CRMs, billing, etc.) and own them end to end.
- Architect, build, and maintain custom Laravel apps, admin panels, dashboards, and internal tools for the business.
- Design and consume APIs, build integrations, and eliminate manual tasks with background jobs, queues, and webhooks instead of relying on third party duct tape.
- Refactor and improve existing legacy code so it is stable, testable, and easier to extend.
- Chunk big business ideas into technical specs, then into executable tasks, and complete them without hand holding.
- Identify operational problems before they become fires and build systems to prevent them.
- Handle basic DevOps for your apps (environment setup, config, deployments, monitoring) or at minimum know exactly what you need and drive it.
- Manage your own backlog, priorities, and timelines. You are effectively your own “team.”
- Work directly with founders, operations, and marketing to turn their real world needs into working software.
- Roll up your sleeves and ship code every day.
You Should Be
- A Laravel specialist with 5+ years of hands on experience building production business applications.
- Comfortable operating as a solo developer on a codebase. You take full ownership and do not wait for someone else to clean things up.
- Strong across the full Laravel ecosystem: Eloquent, queues, events, jobs, scheduling, caching, authentication, notifications, Blade or frontend integration, and API development.
- A critical thinker who sees three moves ahead and designs for what is coming, not just what is asked for today.
- Hyper organized, allergic to chaos, and obsessive about follow through from idea to deploy to maintenance.
- Detail obsessed. Edge cases, validation, and error handling matter to you as much as features.
- Self directed. You do not need tickets micromanaged to know what to do next.
- Adaptable. New packages, tools, or APIs do not scare you. You learn them and fold them into your stack.
- Entrepreneurial. You think in terms of outcomes and ROI, not just code for code’s sake.
Bonus Points If You
- Have built tools for sales teams, call centers, CRMs, or marketing operations.
- Have experience with multi tenant SaaS style Laravel apps.
- Have worked with telephony, SMS, email, or lead routing integrations.
- Are comfortable with basic front end work (Blade, Livewire, or a JS framework) to ship complete features.
- Can communicate with non technical stakeholders in plain language and translate business needs into clear requirements.
Who You Are Not
- A “manager of managers” who wants to sit in meetings and hand off tickets.
- A theorist who only wants to architect and never touch real code.
- A nine to fiver watching the clock.
- A corporate operator looking for layers of process and predictability.
This is a builder’s seat. You will move fast, break things, fix them better, and help build a company that actually works because its systems actually work.
