Senior Legal Advisor – PPP Experience

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Associate to join its Legal and Compliance Department in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will be a Saudi National, bilingual in Arabic and English, and possess 6+ years of legal experience gained from leading law firms or reputable in-house teams.

This role involves managing and advising on complex legal, contractual, and dispute matters across Holding and its subsidiaries, particularly in the construction, commercial, and government project sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the GCLCO in advising the Group and its subsidiaries on legal, commercial, contractual, and labour matters related to disputes and claims.
  • Advise on potential disputes, contractual rights and obligations, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Review and support the development of legal strategies for claims related to delays, variations, disruptions, terminations, and force majeure.
  • Draft and respond to formal notices, pleadings, statements, settlement agreements, and legal correspondence.
  • Manage and coordinate with external counsels, experts, and stakeholders to ensure effective dispute resolution.
  • Support mediation, arbitration, and litigation proceedings as required.
  • Work closely with project teams during project execution to prevent or minimize disputes.
  • Participate in negotiations with contractors, clients/employers, and subcontractors.
  • Provide day-to-day legal advice on disputes, claims, compliance, and regulatory matters.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date legal records, files, and documentation.
  • Prepare legal reports, memos, and presentations for senior management.
  • Support the GCLCO on any additional legal tasks or assignments as required.

Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized Saudi university.
  • Advanced legal education (LL.M or equivalent) from a reputable foreign university is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant legal experience, preferably within the construction, infrastructure, or government contracting sectors.
  • Proven experience handling claims, disputes, and contentious matters under Saudi law.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of construction law, contract law, PPP frameworks, and government tender and procurement laws.
  • In-depth knowledge of labour laws and regulatory compliance in Saudi Arabia.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of handling complex legal challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

Additional Information

  • This is not an administrative or clerical position.
  • Remote work is not permitted; this is a full-time, office-based role.
  • Candidate must be bilingual (Arabic & English).
  • Saudi nationals only will be considered for this position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ﷼35,000.00 - ﷼40,000.00 per month
