Labor & Employment law firm is seeking to hire a Senior Legal Assistant or Paralegal. The right candidate must be able to speak and write fluently in Spanish. The employee will be expected to communicate with the firm’s clients in Spanish on a daily basis and to translate correspondence from English to Spanish.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following (Other Duties May Be Assigned):

· Filing documents in state and federal court

· Drafting documents including assisting in the preparation of case management statements, discovery shells and/or responses, and other documents as needed

· Calendaring of appointments, meetings, and phone calls with prospective clients in Outlook

· Processing and preparation of documents including correspondence received by Firm and preparation of document productions

· Fielding prospective client calls for initial conversations

· Detailed documentation of intake calls

· Communicating with Co-Counsel and Opposing’s Counsel Staff

· Scheduling meetings

· Making travel arrangements for hearings, mediations, and depositions

Qualifications:

· Must be able to speak and write fluently in Spanish

· Must have at least 1 year of prior experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal and familiarity with the calendaring rules under the Code of Civil Procedure, submitting filings, and serving documents

Must be a team-player, but be able to work independently on assigned tasks

· Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines

· Proficient in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook

· Excellent professionalism and communication skills

· Strong attention to detail

· Strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills
