Senior Legal Counsel

About the Role:

Global Tax Assistant is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel to support company setup and corporate processes in the GCC region (KSA, Qatar, Oman). The role involves handling high-level legal advisory, structuring compliance procedures, and client support related to business setup, international structuring, and licensing matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Corporate & Business Setup (KSA, Qatar, Oman): Lead end-to-end legal and corporate workflows for complex company registration, incorporation, and expansion in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman (Mainland and Free Zones).
• Licensing & Regulatory Compliance: Manage strategic licensing processes, including procurement of investment, commercial, and specialized trade licenses across the designated GCC markets.
• Risk Management & Local Legislation: Monitor regulatory shifts and local legal updates in KSA, Qatar, and Oman; proactively mitigate legal, structural, and compliance risks for global clients.
• Legal Administration & Drafting: Review, draft, and adapt international commercial contracts, shareholder agreements (SHA), board resolutions, and complex corporate documents in alignment with local GCC laws.
• Client Advisory & Legal Opinions: Act as a key legal partner for international clients, guiding them through complex market entry strategies and delivering comprehensive Legal Opinions.

Requirements:

• Proven GCC Experience: Proven practical legal experience in the GCC countries (strictly KSA, Qatar, and Oman), including: company registration, licensing support, interaction with government authorities/regulators, and deep knowledge of local legislation.
• Education: Higher education degree in Law.
• Language Skills: Fluent English (all documentation and communications are conducted in English). Fluent Russian is mandatory.
• Professional Background: Prior experience in international consulting or international law firms will be considered an advantage.
• Key Competencies: Ability to work in a multitasking environment, strong structural thinking, high level of independence, and a proven track record of taking full responsibility for legal decisions.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: RO500.000 - RO800.000 per month
