Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Liferay Developer with strong expertise in Liferay DXP/Portal development to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and supporting enterprise-grade portal applications and integrations.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in enterprise digital transformation projects, portal customization, API integrations, performance optimization, and deployment activities within Agile delivery environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Liferay DXP/Portal.
• Develop custom portlets, OSGi modules, services, hooks, and themes.
• Integrate Liferay with enterprise systems, APIs, authentication platforms, and third-party applications.
• Customize workflows, roles, permissions, and content management functionalities.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical solution design.
• Perform troubleshooting, debugging, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Support deployment activities, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, UI/UX teams, and project managers.
• Ensure compliance with security, coding, and enterprise architecture standards.
• Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory Skills

• 6+ years of experience in Liferay development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Liferay DXP / Liferay 7.x.
• Java / J2EE.
• Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
• MVC Portlets and OSGi Modules.
• Service Builder.
• REST & SOAP APIs.
• JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• JSP and Servlet technologies.
• API integrations and workflow configuration.
• Database management (Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Apache Tomcat and Linux environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in government, telecom, banking, or large enterprise projects.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience with SSO integrations including LDAP, OAuth, and SAML.
• Agile/Scrum project delivery experience.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
