Senior Litigation Attorney (Public Agency Practice)

Kronick Moskovitz Tiedemann & Girard is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join our growing and dynamic Public Agency practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney who enjoys meaningful, complex, work and values a mix of autonomy and collaboration with exceptional colleagues.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have at least six years of litigation experience, with a strong background representing public agencies or litigating matters involving governmental entities. You will handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances, while working closely with supportive and highly skilled attorneys. You will also have an opportunity to work directly with clients and counsel them on potential settlement, mediation, or other forms of alternative dispute resolution.

What You'll Do:

• Litigate cases on behalf of public agencies including but not limited to cities, special districts and joint powers authorities.
• Manage cases independently while collaborating with team members.
• Draft and argue motions; conduct discovery and depositions.
• Appear in court and before administrative bodies.
• Develop trusted relationships with clients and have an opportunity to grow your own practice or book of business, if desired.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience with public agency or government-related litigation strongly preferred.
• Experience in land use and/or CEQA is desirable but not required.
• Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills,
• A collegial, team-oriented approach. Our department is built on a group of people who work extremely well together and that culture is a priority for us.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license in good standing in California.
• Minimum of 6 years of litigation experience.
