Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Officer to join our team at Servochem LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of import and export documentation, customs clearance, regulatory permit coordination, and management of all domestic freight requirements. This role demands a strategic thinker with strong organizational skills, adept in navigating the complexities of international and domestic logistics within the chemical trading industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Import and Export Coordination:

• Carrier selection, negotiation, and cost tracking.
• Prepare and manage all import and export documentation in compliance with UAE and international regulations.
• Handle customs clearance for import/export shipments (hazardous & non-hazardous chemicals).
• Apply and obtain required UAE regulatory permits and approvals (DM, MOH, SIRA, FANR, Civil Defense, EHS).
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers for smooth shipment clearance.
• Track shipments and resolve any transit-related issues.
• Ensure all relevant documentation such as BOL, MSDS, COO, DGD, customs documents etc. are accurate prior to submission to Finance for payment processing.

2. Domestic Freight Management:

• Carrier selection, negotiation, and cost tracking.
• Oversee domestic inward and outward freight movements.
• Coordinate with transport providers to ensure timely delivery and collection of goods.
• Maintain accurate records of all freight transactions.
• Verify freight vendor documentation prior to Finance submission.

3. Scheduling and Planning:

• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to plan incoming and outgoing freight movements.
• Prepare daily and weekly freight schedules with Sales and Warehouse teams.
• Monitor schedules and implement corrective actions for delays or operational issues.

4. Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to UAE and international regulations related to chemical transportation.
• Maintain compliance with customs clearance procedures and chemical import/export permit requirements.
• Stay updated with regulatory changes and implement process improvements.

5. Vendor and Stakeholder Relationships:

• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and logistics partners.
• Negotiate vendor contracts and freight rates for cost optimization.

6. Team Leadership:

• Supervise and mentor junior logistics staff.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives.

7. Risk Management:

• Identify and mitigate logistics risks.
• Develop contingency plans for shipment delays or clearance issues.

8. Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyze logistics data to identify performance improvement areas.
• Prepare logistics reports for senior management review.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 4–7 years of logistics experience in the Chemical / Petrochemical / Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of UAE customs clearance procedures and regulatory permit handling.
• Experience in hazardous chemical shipment documentation (MSDS, DGD).
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
