Senior Logistics Specialist

Job Purpose

To manage and coordinate end-to-end logistics operations including order processing, shipping, customs clearance, compliance, and reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, regulatory compliance, and cost control in line with company KPIs and international trade standards.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

1. Order Processing & Shipping

• Review and process customer and internal orders with high accuracy , ensuring alignment with contractual and operational requirements.
• Obtain, compare, and analyze shipping quotations from freight forwarders, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and timely selection.
• Arrange on-time booking with approved forwarders to meet delivery schedules.
• Prepare, review, and validate all shipping documentation (Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, COO, etc.) with zero discrepancies.
• Ensure daily operational updates are shared with all concerned internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure full LC and ACID compliance , minimizing risks of shipment delays or rejection.

2. Customs Clearance

• Coordinate closely with customs brokers to achieve on-time clearance of all import and export shipments.
• Proactively manage clearance activities to avoid demurrage and detention charges .
• Ensure timely submission of customs documentation in accordance with clearance lead times.
• Maintain complete and compliant customs clearance files for audit and regulatory review.
• Verify customs invoices, duties, taxes, and clearance charges for accuracy before payment .

3. Process & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with internal logistics procedures and SOPs .
• Maintain strict adherence to local and international customs regulations for import and export activities.
• Act as a key point of contact for compliance-related issues with customs authorities, brokers, and internal departments.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency and compliance.

4. Reporting & Cost Control

• Prepare and submit daily logistics reports accurately and on time.
• Support logistics cost control through accurate budget forecasting and variance analysis.
• Provide clear visibility of shipment status, risks, and costs to management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in logistics coordination, shipping, and customs clearance.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, LC handling, and ACID system .
• Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and government authorities.
• ERP/SAP experience is highly preferred.
