Duration of the Contract: 12+ months

Candidate location: Candidate must be a CURRENT SC resident. No relocation allowed .

Interview Process: 1 round, phone call

Additional details: Candidate will be expected to participate in on call rotation, roughly 1 week per month or less.

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Programmer to support MMIS and MEDS teams. This role involves making coding changes to COBOL and ADS programs using IDMS databases , ensuring quality through rigorous testing, and collaborating closely with both staff and contracted teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• 10+ years of experience in computer system development and modification

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain COBOL and ADS programs using IDMS Network or IDMS Relational databases.
• Interpret and apply technical and design specifications to implement coding changes.
• Perform debugging, unit testing, and integration testing of program modifications.
• Support QA, user acceptance, and external testing by implementing necessary code adjustments.
• Collaborate effectively with staff, contractors, and Medicaid Services teams.
• Participate in an on-call rotation (approximately 1 week per month or less).
