Senior Maintenance Technician

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Senior Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of complex machinery and systems across our production environment. Your expertise will help maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability, supporting our commitment to manufacturing excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with a strong background in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, hydraulics, and mechanical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC/R units, boiler sytems and electrical components.
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and control system diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule routine inspections.
  • Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to ensure equipment operates within specifications.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems involving low voltage and high voltage components while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Operate service equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts to access hard-to-reach areas safely.
  • Support technical efforts by providing advice on equipment repairs or upgrades when liaising with clients or vendors.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety procedures related to industrial mechanics, welding, and other maintenance activities.
  • Assist in training team members on maintenance procedures, safety standards, and the use of specialized tools or machinery.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns or system failures to minimize downtime and production disruptions.

Experience

  • Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Extensive knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, HVAC/R systems, boiler systems, welding techniques, and industrial electrician practices.
  • Hands-on experience with CMMS software for maintenance planning and record keeping.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, precision measuring instruments, and low voltage testing devices effectively.
  • Experience working with high voltage systems safely in compliance with industry standards.
  • Excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members or clients.
