Job Title : Senior Manager- Accounts & Finance
Department: Finance & Accounts
Location: Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, UP
Experience Required: 8-12 years/ 2– 5 years (preferably in the manufacturing industry)
Job Summary:
The Senior Manager – Accounts & Finance will oversee the complete financial management of the manufacturing organisation, including accounting, finance, cost control, statutory compliance, and audit coordination. The incumbent will lead the finance team across multiple units/plants, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and provide insightful MIS to management for strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Financial Management
* Oversee end-to-end accounting across all manufacturing units, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Ind AS and company policies.
* Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books, preparation of trial balance, and finalisation of financial statements.
* Ensure proper accounting of production, consumption, wastage, work-in-progress (WIP), and inventory valuation.
* Review unit-wise profitability, cost of goods manufactured (COGM), and margin analysis.
* Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and inter-unit transactions.
* Implement and monitor robust internal controls for financial processes and approvals.
2. Costing & Budgetary Control
* Coordinate with the Costing and Production teams to ensure accurate cost sheet preparation and variance analysis.
* Review and validate standard costing, material consumption norms, and overhead allocations.
* Monitor plant-level expenses vs. budget and drive cost optimisation initiatives.
* Support in annual budget preparation and monthly forecasting with variance reporting.
3. Statutory Compliance & Audit:
* Ensure full compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory requirements.
* Coordinate with Statutory, Internal, and Cost Auditors for the timely completion of audits and resolution of audit queries.
* Review and ensure timely filing of all statutory returns – GST (GSTR-1, 3B, 9, 9C), TDS, Income Tax, PF, PT, etc.
* Maintain accurate records for ITC reconciliation, RCM applicability, job work compliance, and vendor documentation.
4. MIS & Management Reporting:
* Prepare Monthly MIS Reports covering P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Production Costing, and Unit-wise Performance.
* Present variance analysis reports (Budget vs Actual, Cost vs Production Output, etc.) with actionable insights.
* Generate customised plant-level dashboards for management review on production efficiency, material cost trends, and working capital.
5. Treasury, Banking & Fund Management:
* Manage daily cash flow and working capital, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations.
* Handle banking relationships, fund disbursements, and short-term credit arrangements.
* Monitor fund utilisation, interest cost, and assist in optimising financial resources.
6. Team Leadership & Process Improvement:
* Lead and supervise the accounts and finance team across multiple units/plants.
* Drive process improvements, automation, and system controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
* Provide continuous training and mentoring to strengthen team capability and ensure accountability.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, purchase, stores, HR) to ensure financial discipline and compliance.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (CMA) / MBA (Finance)
Experience: 8–12 years of experience in accounts, finance, costing, and compliance, preferably in a manufacturing/engineering / industrial setup.
* Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards, Ind AS, Direct & Indirect Taxation, and Statutory Compliance.
* Experience in Tally ERP / SAP / Oracle, along with proficiency in Excel-based MIS and reporting tools.
* Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
* Ability to handle multi-unit operations and work under deadlines.
