Senior Manager- Corp. Finance - Financial Control & Treasury Management

Reports to: CFO


Job Purpose:

A Senior Finance Manager, specializing in Financial Control & Treasury Management, oversees Bateel’s financial operations, focusing on both internal controls and the management of cash flow and investments. He/she manages budgets, cash flow planning & forecasting, reporting and ensures compliance, adherence to the DOA with a financial control lens, ensuring compliance with internal policies while driving efficiency in financial processes, partnering with other teams to optimize financial efficiency and business performance. He/she acts as a strategic financial leader, guiding the company's financial health and supporting its growth.


Key Accountabilities:

Financial Control:

  • Assist in creating financial policy framework within the organization. Liaise with internal auditors to understand their recommendations and incorporate changes in current financial policy framework.
  • Ensure financial policy framework is implemented across the organization.
  • Assess internal control issues and operational discrepancies with the Finance Managers and highlight critical areas to the CFO.
  • Adhere to the DOA (Delegation of Authority) with a financial control lens.
  • Lead and mentor the financial control and treasury team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Provide treasury and financial control insights to support decision-making on capital expenditure, funding, and business expansion.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements and regulatory frameworks of the Organization.
  • Review of contracts for assessing compliance, financial implications and risk.
  • Monthly/ Weekly AR and AP reviews with Finance managers and Sales Managers.
  • Review and provide comments on customer and supplier contracts from a finance control perspective, ensuring alignment with treasury, cash flow, and risk management objectives.
  • Timely escalations to Business Heads for operational matters, recoveries, risk of bad debts for taking necessary legal steps if needed.


Treasury Management:

  • Develop and execute the organization’s treasury strategy to ensure optimal liquidity, working capital management, and funding structure.
  • Oversee relationships with banks, financial institutions, and rating agencies to secure favorable financing arrangements and manage banking facilities.
  • Optimize debt, equity, and capital allocation strategies to support business growth.
  • Risk assessment of all banking channels.
  • Management and overview of all banking matrix, active users, limits, access rights.
  • Monitor financial risks, including FX, interest rate, liquidity, and credit exposure, and design effective hedging strategies where necessary.
  • Implement treasury technology solutions to enhance automation, accuracy, and reporting.
  • To analyze the cash flow projections of each entity for better treasury and fund management and plan the timing of fund transfers.
  • To report the Group 12 months consolidated cash flow to the CFO every month.
  • To monitor the daily fund position for each entity and get quick visibility of short-term fund requirement and plan accordingly.
  • Report on Daily Cash & Debt position to CFO and CEO.
  • To analyze the implications of intercompany transfers on the standalone financials of each entity with respect to Equity, Intercompany loans, current assets/ liabilities.
  • To ascertain and analyze all banking covenants at a standalone and consolidated level and recommend solutions to satisfy covenants.
  • Ensure timely execution of funding requests and optimal utilization of credit facilities.
  • To liaise with Bank managers for renewal and new facilities and arrange loan funds at lowest cost.
  • Manage the company’s debt portfolio, including arranging drawdowns aligned with approved business case requirements.
  • To provide necessary financial information and explanations to bankers on the company financial statements and performance.
  • To monitor the Treasury reports and ensure information relating to loans and facilities is flowing to the FPA division correctly.
  • To review all banking facility letters and other documents and forms, to ensure all details are accurate before final approval.
  • To analyze and review the Mgt. consolidated financial statements to provide appropriate explanation to bankers on variances.


Company secretarial matters:

  • To ensure all documentation relating to Bateel Holdings Ltd. is updated for eg. Register of members, Share register etc.
  • To file annual return of Bateel Holdings Ltd. annually on time.
  • To assist the CFO in drafting board minutes, board and shareholders resolutions.


Budgeting & MIS Reporting

  • Manage the capital expenditure (Capex) budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and optimal fund allocation.
  • Prepare and analyze MIS reports on cash flow, debt position, and Capex utilization to provide timely insights for management decision-making.
  • Monitor daily cash positions, funding requirements, and debt obligations, optimizing liquidity and working capital.
  • Support the CFO in financial due diligence assignments and annual audit processes.

Experience & Skill Set requirement:

  • Understanding of treasury best practices
  • Understanding of corporate finance, banking products, hedging instruments
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Treasury Management Systems
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data into strategic insights

Qualification & Licenses requirement:

  • Graduate in Finance
  • Postgraduate in Finance or CA/CPA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA/MBA Finance
  • High level knowledge in Excel Advanced tools and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Minimum 10–12 years of progressive experience in financial control, treasury, or corporate finance, with at least 4–5 years in a managerial/senior managerial role.
