Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or a relevant field is required, MSc is preferable.
• Professional Qualification e.g. ACII is preferable.
• 7 years of relevant experience in reinsurance / insurance (in a mature market or well-established company)
• Strong technical knowledge and familiarity with regulations.
• Proficiency in underwriting tools, exposure rating models, and portfolio management systems.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Main Responsibilities

• Obtains critical underwriting information and responds within specified time standards.
• Makes the best use of the pricing tools available to take appropriate underwriting decisions.
• Completes review analysis on all new and renewal business.
• Assists in the implementation of underwriting and risk management systems / controls to monitor and evaluate the performance of company's business portfolio and associated risks.
• Develops business from existing clients and seeks new sources in order to meet assigned target.
• Supports the Facultative Underwriting department in updating market and client details to ensure proper client relationship management.
