JOB SUMMARY

As Senior Manager – Media Relations, you will lead the strategic direction of Tracxn’s external communications to shape brand perception and strengthen market presence. This role demands a combination of storytelling expertise, media influence, and leadership acumen. You will design and execute high-impact PR strategies, serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, and mentor junior team members/agency partners. You will be accountable for ensuring Tracxn’s voice is visible, consistent, and authoritative across national and international media.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and execute Tracxn’s long-term media relations strategy aligned with brand and business priorities.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with senior journalists, editors, and influencers across business, tech, startup, and regional media.
  • Drive executive visibility through high-impact interviews, speaking opportunities, and thought-leadership features.
  • Oversee creation of compelling press materials and data-driven narratives that position Tracxn as an industry authority.
  • Provide direction and mentorship to PR agencies and internal team members, ensuring delivery against clear KPIs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align messaging and maximize brand impact across media and digital platforms.
  • Track share of voice, coverage quality, and journalist engagement, presenting actionable insights to senior leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field; Master’s preferred.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • 5-8 years of progressive experience in media relations, PR, or journalism with a demonstrated leadership track record.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to advise, coach, and influence leadership in media-facing situations.
  • Established network of senior-level media contacts across business and technology ecosystems
  • Experience managing PR agencies, cross-functional stakeholders, and high-stakes communication scenarios.
  • Expertise in strategic storytelling, crisis management, and reputation building in fast-paced sectors such as SaaS, data, fintech, or startups.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and align diverse stakeholders.
