Position Overview:
The Senior Manager of Data & Research supports the efforts of Concordance in monitoring the quality and fidelity of the model through ongoing data collection, research, and evaluation. The Senior Manager collects and analyzes qualitative and quantitative data related to ongoing quality monitoring as well as special research projects to support program and mission advancement and is the primary point of contact for all internal programmatic data inquiries. This role serves as an integral member of the Data & Grants Team and reports to the Chief Impact & Strategy Officer.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – YOUR ROLE WILL INVOLVE:


Data Strategy Design & Implementation
Supports the design of and leads the implementation of the Concordance Data Strategy.
  • Data Collection: collaborate with IT, executive leadership, and program managers to design instruments that fulfill reporting needs and capture data
  • Data Integrity Monitoring: performing audits, cleansing, processing, and validation on the data to ensure its quality
  • Reporting: Leads execution of predictable data analysis and visualization needs, including grant reports, state contract invoicing, annual report, dashboards, etc.
  • Data Insights: translating insights into actionable information for programmatic and operational leadership
  • Internal Evaluation: support measurement of participant outcomes and indicators of program success
Executive Leadership Support
Supports senior leadership in advancing program and operational excellence.
  • Dashboard Ownership: regularly maintains internal and external dashboards with program data to inform innovation, program adjustment, and indicators of success
  • Grant Applications and Donor Stewardship: providing data necessary to successfully implement fundraising strategy, including supplying data required for grant applications and ad-hoc analyses
  • Marketing & Communications: queries program data and compiles externally sourced information (i.e., publicly available data, existing research and reports, media publications, etc.) to support static content on website, social media, and internal communications
  • Financial & Operational: providing programmatic-level data informing annual budget, program costs, contract outcomes, and fiscal management operations
Exploratory Research
  • Program Efficacy: Analyze program phenomena that impact quality of services (i.e., demographic, phase progression, program retention, etc.) aligned with organizational priorities, strategic growth, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Market Research: Conduct research to maintain regional and national profiles, economic conditions impacting justice-involved individuals, and best practices within services areas (i.e., housing, behavioral health, employment, etc.)
Training
  • Train and onboard staff on the organization’s customized CAPs database, ensuring accurate data entry, reporting, and system utilization
  • Recommend, design, and lead ongoing trainings based on system utilization KPIs and data integrity audit results

Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in statistics, data analysis, and research methods
  • Experience working in nonprofit organizations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in adaptability, decision making, customer service, interpersonal relations, oral communication, problem solving, project management, quality management, teamwork, written communication, group presentations, group process facilitation, influence, results orientation, strategic thinking, and team building.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside partners and vendors. Sensitivity to confidential matters required.
  • Strong computer skills especially with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel). Experience with Access or other analytical software a plus.
  • Detail oriented, with proficient proofreading skills.
  • Familiarity with common office equipment.
Required Education, Licensure, and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent related experience.
